Addison Phillips Wins Inaugural United States Hunter Jumper Association's Hunterdon Cup Equitation Class presented by World Equestrian Brands

Addison Phillips of New York, NY, won the inaugural United States Hunter Jumper Association's (USHJA) Hunterdon Cup Equitation Class presented by World Equestrian Brands on Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Phillips, trained by Andre Dignelli, owner of Heritage Farm, rode to victory aboard her 11-year-old bay Warmblood gelding, Icon. Competing against 25 other riders and navigating her way through three rounds, with the last round requiring her to switch horses with another competitor, Phillips displayed the confidence, skill and style the judges were looking for.

Phillips was presented with the USHJA Hunterdon Cup Perpetual Trophy, which was donated by Lynn Jayne and Diane Carney, a silver-plated keeper trophy, a custom-made Amerigo Saddle and custom cooler donated by World Equestrian Brands.

Rounding out the Top Ten winners were:
-Reserve Champion Kacey McCann of Palmyra, PA, winning a custom cooler and a Vespucci bridle donated by World Equestrian Brands;
-Third place went to Maggie McAlary of Amherst, NH, winning an E.A. Mattes Sheepskin Pad donated by World Equestrian Brands
-Fourth place went to Kitt Ritter of Charleston, SC, winning the Classic Equine Package, which included saddle pads, a girth, open front leather boots, polo wraps and leather ankle boots donated by World Equestrian Brands;
-Fifth place went to Catherine Pugliese of Darien, CT, winning a T de T glove package, which included six pairs of custom gloves donated by World Equestrian Brands;
-Sixth place went to Katherine Stewart of Farifiled, CT;
-Seventh place went to Callie Seamann of Greenwich, CT;
-Eighth place went to Meggan Massaro of Summerfield, FL;
-Ninth place went to Tatiana Dzavik of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and
-Tenth place went to Isabella Luhrs of St. Augustine, FL

Each Top Ten rider also took home a silver picture frame from USHJA.

The USHJA Hunterdon Cup consists of three rounds over 10 hunter-type fences and is judged on style and smoothness with an emphasis on hunter style of riding.

The USHJA Hunterdon Cup Equitation Class began in 2005. In 2006, the USHJA was proud to sign World Equestrian Brands as the presenting sponsor.
