At the Blowing Rock Horse Show series, held July 26-August 6, Over the Hill Farm had more stellar performances from their horses and riders. They took home five grand hunter titles and five trophies from the horse show. Once again, young Taylor Ann Adams of Eads, TN, was the star of the show. Adams was named the Best Child Rider on a Pony and won the Evelyn O. Faulkner Trophy. She was also the Leading Point Rider on a Horse and Pony and will have her name etched on the Jennifer Cox Memorial Trophy.

Adams won these awards based on her performance on three different mounts over two weeks. On Mosaik, owned by Ashley Kennedy and Peakewood Pharm, she was the Grand Junior Hunter and Grand Small Junior Hunter Champion, for which they won the Elizabeth Crockett Luczak Perpetual Trophy. They were division champions both weeks in the Small Junior 15 & Under Hunters. Mosaik received the Lyrik Perpetual Trophy, which was a wonderful win for trainer Bill Schaub and owner Ashley Kennedy. The trophy was donated originally by Schaub, and Kennedy owned and showed Lyrik as a successful junior hunter.

Adams was successful in the pony division on All Heart and True Blue, both ponies owned by Schaub. All Heart was the Grand Green Pony Hunter Champion and was given the Cymraeg Rain Beau Perpetual Trophy after he was the division champion in the Large Green Pony Hunters both weeks. All Heart was also the reserve champion in the Large Pony Hunters in the first week.

On True Blue, Adams was champion of Week One in the Medium Pony Hunters.

Professional rider Hunt Tosh was named the Best Hunter Rider of the horse show series. On Natalie, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Hunt Tosh and Lauren Hogan, he was champion in the Second Year Green Hunters in Week Two. They were named the grand champions in the Second Years. Hogan took over the ride in Week Two for her junior hunter debut and won the reserve championship in the Small Junior 15 & Under Hunters.

Tosh rode Larkspur for Kennedy and Peakewood Pharm to the Regular Conformation Hunter championship and Green Conformation Hunter reserve championship in Week One.

Maya Dillard and Tommy Girl were the grand champions in the Short Stirrup Hunters. They picked up the championship in the division in Week Two and a reserve championship in the Short Stirrup Equitation in Week One.

Top equitation rider Jack Hardin Towell, Jr., came away with the blue ribbon in the United States Equestrian Federation Show Jumping Talent Search class on Phone Home, owned by Schaub. Katie Hogan and Black Diamond took top ribbons in the Children’s Jumpers. Roberta Previ and her Reveille were ribbon winners in the Amateur Owner 36 & Over Hunters. Role Model, ridden and owned by Courtney Rodrigue, won top ribbons in the highly competitive Children’s Hunter 15-17 division.
