From Wednesday, October 18, through Sunday, October 22, the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) will host their National Championship Horse Show with a qualifying show to be held on Tuesday, October 17. The Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth, TX, will be home to a week of competitions, expositions, seminars, banquets and fun. Unique shopping opportunities oriented toward Iberian horses will be available. The public is welcome and admission is free to all events.

The IALHA will host over 140 performance and halter classes for purebred and Half-Andalusians, judged by Spanish, Portuguese and American judges. There will be United States Equestrian Federation national championship classes in halter, English, Western, driving, youth and amateur division. There will also be traditional Iberian classes in Doma Vaquera, native and heritage tack and attire. There will be a full day of dressage classes on Wednesday, October 18, in addition to grand champion halter classes. In addition to performance classes, Saturday evening, October 21, will feature a series of expositions, starting with the Parade of Halter Champions.

An amazing purebred Lusitano colt will be raffled off. Alferez MOR was kindly donated by premier breeder, Abelardo Morales Puron of Cortijo Las Morerias. The raffle winner will be announced Saturday evening. Tickets are available from the IALHA office and the winner need not be present.

For years, many people have found Jdon Farms to be synonymous with Andalusian horses. This year's IALHA National Championship Show is dedicated to Donna Hecht and Jdon Farms.
