The American Trakehner Association is committed to adhering to the highly selective breeding standards practiced in Trakehnen, East Prussia and continued in Germany by the Trakehner Verband, in the breeding of the horse of Trakehner origin. By practicing these standards the association's desire is to encourage the development of a performing horse of beauty and harmony, great endurance, mental and physical balance and possessing an excellent character.
Inspections of nominated mares and stallions for the remainder of 2006 will take place as indicated.
