Stadium Jumping, Inc., will present the Fifth Annual Zada Enterprises, LLC, Dressage at the National on December 1-3, 2006, at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, FL. The dressage show is an annual highlight of the 123rd National Horse Show and Family Festival, which runs from November 29 through December 3.

The 2006 edition of Dressage at the National features the full gamut of dressage classes, ranging from USEF training level through FEI grand prix, including young rider, junior and adult amateur competitions. Top-level contestants aiming for the Great American Insurance Group/United States Dressage Federation (GAIG/USDF) Regional Championships will have the opportunity to compete in qualifying classes at all levels.

Following tradition at the Dressage at the National, the event wraps up on December 3 with “Freestyle Sunday,” which showcases the popular musical freestyle rides. Horse-and-rider combinations from USDF first level through FEI grand prix, plus the juniors and young riders, will "dance" to their specially created music soundtracks and their own unique choreography, which is always a fun and exciting crowd-pleasing event.

More than $6,250 in prizes and awards will be presented at Dressage at the National. Top awards to be presented include the Dressage at the National High Score Awards, which honor the top two horse-and-rider combinations as the champion and reserve champion in each of five categories: first level, second level, third level, fourth level, and junior/young riders. One of the most coveted awards is the Dressage at the National Leading Rider Award, which is presented to the rider who earns the highest score from any class during the show. The show also honors the top horse-and-owner combination with the Dressage at the National Leading Horse Award, which is presented to the owner of the horse who has earned the highest score from any class at the show.

Produced by Eugene R. Mische’s Stadium Jumping, Inc., the Fifth Annual Zada Enterprises, LLC, Dressage at the National is headed up by Klaus Fraessdorf, show manager, and Mary Silcox, show secretary. Officiating at the show are three top-notch American judges: Betsy Berrey (‘S’); Sarah Geikie (‘S’); and Sharon Poulin (‘S’).

“Every year I especially look forward to this particular show,” said Silcox. “It’s wonderful to see the new horses starting out and watch the campaigners strut their stuff one last time before the holidays. The Dressage at the National show is a quality year-end event without the pressure of high-performance classes that are held at the Stadium Jumping dressage shows during the Winter Equestrian Festival. This show is a chance for riders to bring out their new horses in an exciting atmosphere and yet not have to worry too much about scores. It is also a great show for horses who have shown all year to gauge their progress through the levels as we head into the next season.”
