FEI Competition Marathon Highlights the HorseTV Channel's January Programming Lineup

The HorseTV Channel’s January programming schedule features all new premieres from popular competitions and series including Free Rein: FEI World Equestrian Games 2006, Kleo The Misfit Unicorn, AQHA’s Best of the West, FEI World Cup Jumping 2006/2007, Spirit of the Equestrian and HorseFlicks.

“January’s schedule provides a fond look back at exceptional programming from past years as well as introduces a whole new slate of exciting premieres to take us into the new year,” said Rachel Falleroni, Head of Programming for The HorseTV Channel.

The FEI World Equestrian Games 2006 (WEG) series showcases the world’s top horse-and-rider combinations competing in all seven disciplines at the ultimate equestrian competition in the world. WEG is held every four years and is rarely ever broadcast outside of the European host country, making The HorseTV Channel’s coverage of the entire two weeks of the Games the most comprehensive in United States history. January premieres feature driving competition in the obstacles and marathon categories. World premieres begin Tuesday, January 2, at 8 p.m. with encore performances on Saturdays at 9 p.m.

January is a great month for FEI fans as The HorseTV Channel introduces the U.S. premieres of the FEI World Cup Jumping 2006/2007 Season with an FEI competition marathon featuring events from the 2003-2006 seasons. The FEI marathon will run throughout January and February on weeknights at 10 p.m. FEI World Cup Jumping 2006/2007 Season airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. See premieres again on Fridays at 10 p.m.

Seventeen new U.S. premiere episodes of the popular breed series HorseFlicks begin on Sundays in January at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., with encore episodes airing on Thursdays at 9:30 p.m., Mondays at 7 p.m., and Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Be sure to ring in the New Year with the HorseFlicks marathon on January 1, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST.

Tune in for world premieres of the two-hour AQHA’s Best of the West series presenting the 2006 NRHA Futurity–Open Competition on January 10, at 8 p.m. and the 2006 NRHA Futurity–Non-Pro Competition on January 17, at 8 p.m. Network premieres of classic America’s Horse episodes discussing everything from tips on equine health care, riding and management to news from the American Quarter Horse industry air in the second hour of the series.

The hit animated series Kleo The Misfit Unicorn features Kleo, a misfit unicorn who teaches others, along with the help of her friends in Misfitland to celebrate each person’s differences and unique contributions to the world around them. Kleo premieres two new episodes every Sunday at 10 a.m. with additional performances on Saturdays at 10 a.m.

U.S. premieres of the Spirit of the Equestrian series covering many of the major international equestrian events as well as interviews with the top riders return in January on Mondays at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Eventing competition continues on The HorseTV Channel with The Irish Horse Board International Eventing 2006 U.S. premiere competitions at Ballendenisk, Ballygraffan, Punchestown and Tattersalls. Competitions debut Thursday, January 4, at 8 p.m.
