by By Megan Myers | Jan 4, 2007, 11:02 AM

American Quarter Horses, the world's most versatile breed, takes center stage Sunday, January 7, on NBC at 1:30 EST/ 10:30 PST to strut their stuff in the America’s Horse Championships Presented by Ford Trucks. The program features two uniquely American competitions, cutting and reining, coming from The FedEx Open Competition at The American Quarter Horse Association World Championships show in Oklahoma City, OK. For those viewers new to these two sports, be ready to be intrigued.

Calling the action will be veteran sports announcer Tim Ryan, along with analyst, AQHA Professional Horseman Robbie Boyce, plus reporter Donna Brothers, a former jockey of national renown.

In addition to the competition, viewers will have the opportunity to learn about the breed, where it originated, and its place of importance in the Western lifestyle. Also included is a brief look back at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games that took place in Aachen, Germany in August.
