Productions East Video, Stadium Jumping, Inc., the United States Equestrian Federation® (USEF) and LiveBroadcast.TV will be presenting eight channels of live video webcasting of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) 2007 in Wellington, FL, and continuing in Tampa, FL, January 24–April 7, 2007.
This year’s Winter Equestrian Festival, the nation’s longest, consecutively running equestrian sporting event, celebrates its 35th year in Florida, and will offer more than $4 million in prize money.
In the world of equestrian sports, the Winter Equestrian Festival is the equivalent of Wimbledon, the America’s Cup or the Masters. Amongst the competitors and Olympic equestrian athletes, one will find media, corporate CEOs, celebrities, international dignitaries and over 4,000 magnificent horses from around the globe.
It is 10 full weeks of intense competition with thousands of competitors and spectators in attendance. For the first seven weeks, the Winter Equestrian Festival takes place at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club, home of the only Nations Cup in the United States. In mid-March the festival moves to the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. The grand finale of the festival, The American Invitational, the premier show jumping event in the United States, takes place in Raymond James Stadium: home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Each week is a complete horse show, with various individual hunter, jumper and dressage classes held in eight different competition rings. It starts on Wednesday and concludes on Sunday with a grand prix show jumping event in the International Arena.
Video webcasting all eight rings live for the duration of the show is truly a landmark event, and we hope you will join us. To watch all competitions from the Winter Equestrian Festival live as they happen, just click on www.LiveBroadcast.tv, www.stadiumjumping.com or www.usef.org to purchase viewing privileges by the day, week or for the full 10-week event. The cost is $25 per day, $100 per week, or $800 for the entire 10-week event. The full event package works out to about $2 per hour to watch the most incredible equestrian event of the year.
The requirements for viewing the coverage on your computer are that you have a cable modem, DSL, T-1 or Satellite Broadband.
Productions East has been producing live horse show webcasts for three years, allowing people anywhere to enjoy action as it happens from several horse shows around the country. Demand for them continues to grow as people take advantage of the opportunity to watch their favorite horse, rider, or class from virtually anywhere that offers internet access. You can enjoy the classes almost as much as if you were standing right there on the rail.
The live Webcasts from the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in October attracted unprecedented viewership and received rave reviews for quality. This is sure to be the case again with the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival from Florida.
