by By Jennifer Keeler | Jan 25, 2007, 11:28 AM

The purpose of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Young Horse Dressage Training Sessions is to identify and develop top equine dressage talent in the United States for a future career at the FEI level and international competition on U.S. teams. Mirroring the existing high-performance development programs, horses should be actively training and competing and therefore may be invited to participate in training sessions with the aspiration of their participating in the 2007 Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Program (World Breeding Championship Selection Trials and National Championships). These training sessions will be conducted with the USEF Young Horse Dressage Coach Scott Hassler.

Official training sessions for 2007 will be held at the following:
• Florida: Monday, March 19–Wednesday, March 21, at the WEF Show Grounds, Wellington, FL
• California: Tuesday, March 27–Thursday, March 29, at the L.A. Equestrian Center, Burbank, CA

Participation in these training sessions is by Invitation Only. All interested parties must submit an application (deadline is February 21, 2007). Please visit www.usef.org/content/equestrianSports/disciplines/international/2004-YH-Program.php for more information and to download an application.
