The riders from Over the Hill Farm of Sanford, FL, were extremely successful in their first show of the year, the Jacksonville International Horse Show, held at the Clay County Fairgrounds on January 17-21, 2007. Led by trainer Bill Schaub, they brought home eight championships and seven reserve championships over the week.

Jacksonville, FL, resident Lee Cesery and What D’Ya Know, fresh off their 2006 Farnam®/Platform™ USEF Horse of the Year and Grand Amateur-Owner Hunter championships from the United States Equestrian Federation, proved once again they are the best in the country by winning the championship in the Amateur-Owner 36 & Over Hunters and the Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic. On her new horse Couverture, Cesery was reserve champion in the division and second in the classic.

Role Model, owned by Courtney Rodrigue, was champion in the Special Hunters with Over the Hill Farm assistant trainer Molly Sewell and champion in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunters with Rodrigue. Sewell also piloted Saint Cavalier for owner Brittany Sheets to the reserve championship in the Second Year Green Hunters.

Monaco and Sophie Read led the victory gallop in the Children’s Hunter Classic after picking up the championship in the Children’s 14 & Under Hunters. Reserve champion in the Children’s Pony Hunters was Freedom, ridden by Clare Connaghan. Champions in the Children’s 15-17 Hunters were Pollock and Caroline van den Berg. Reserve champion in the Amateur-Owner 18-35 Hunters was Allico, ridden by Allison Hecht.

Over the Hill Farm swept many of the pony hunter championships. Shawn Cassidy got the ride on Kiss the Rain, owned by Anne Gardner, and was champion in the Medium Pony Hunters.

Taylor Ann Adams of Eads, TN, continued her winning ways in 2007 by riding to two championships and three reserve championships. On Sassafras Creek, owned by Bibby Farmer Hill, she was champion in the Small/Medium Green Pony Hunters. In the Large Green Pony division, she won the reserve championship on Hasbrouck Donovan’s Sno Patrol. She picked up both tricolors in the Large Pony Hunters. Champion was Millpond Celebrity, owned by Sarah Garnett and reserve was Cavalli, owned by Paige Dekko. Adams and Cavalli also won the Large Pony Hunter Classic.

A popular catch rider, Adams piloted Mustique for Don Stewart Stables to the reserve championship in the Small Junior 15 & Under Hunters and won the Small Junior Hunter Classic with scores of 85 and 86. Outside of the hunter ring, Adams also won the Washington International Horse Show Pony Equitation class on Millpond Celebrity and the Show Circuit Magazine Children’s Medal class on Cover Charge, owned by Don Stewart Stables.
