Nation’s Finest Vaulters To Train with World Champion Gold Medalist and Coach in San Francisco Bay Area this Weekend

Lexington, KY - Seventeen equestrian vaulters from across nation arrive in the San Francisco Bay area this weekend, January 20 and 21, for a vaulting high performance training session conducted by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). The participants are among the finest vaulters in the country and are invited to participate by the USEF.

On Saturday the 21st the clinic will be held at the Riekes Center for Human Enhancement 3455 Edison Way, Menlo Park, CA from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and at the residence of Sydney Frankel, 230 Josselyn Lane, Woodside, CA from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. On Sunday sessions will be held simultaneously at Garrod Farms 22601 Mt. Eden Road, Saratoga, CA and the Hyde Middle School 19325 Bollinger Road, Cupertino, CA.

The clinicians for this training session include current Women’s Individual World Champion Megan Benjamin, who earned both the individual gold medal and a silver team medal at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany; Riekes Center instructor Stacey Burnett; USEF’s Vaulting Coach of the Year Emma Seely who coached Benjamin and the team silver medalists in Aachen; former national champion Samantha Smith; and Woodside Vaulter’s head coach Isabelle Parker.

Participants will have sessions on jumping/landing, nutrition, freestyle design, and compulsory/gymnastics drills. Vaulters will also be given a fitness exam to set a base line for their fitness.

Auditors are welcome at a fee of $20/day
