2007 Winter Equestrian Festival and Littlewood Winter and Spring Circuits Join Forces to Offer Exhibitors a Wide Range of Showing Opportunities

by By Phelps Media Group | Feb 1, 2007, 9:46 AM

In a joint effort, Stadium Jumping, Inc., the management company of the 2007 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), and Littlewood Horse Shows will offer exhibitors a greater variety in showing opportunities than ever before.

WEF runs from January 24 to March 18, 2007, in Wellington, FL, and then moves to the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center for two weeks of competition in Tampa, FL, on March 28 to April 7, 2007. WEF includes three new weeks of competition this year: the Littlewood PBI Inaugural, Littlewood Winter Circuit Finale and Littlewood President’s Day Equitation and Jumper Horse Show.

The first two weeks of WEF (Littlewood PBI Inaugural and Nutrena/Western Hay Wellington Classic) will count towards WEF circuit championships and will also count towards Littlewood Winter Circuit awards.

In addition to the 28 hunter and 20 jumper divisions from last year, WEF circuit championships will also go to seven new divisions, including: Cross Rails Hunter, Baby Green Hunter, Low Hunter, Thoroughbred Hunter, Non-Thoroughbred Hunter, Low Adult Hunter 2’6” and Low Children’s Hunter 2’6”. All of these new divisions will compete at the Littlewood show grounds. In every hunter division on the WEF show schedule, horses who have accumulated the most points from their best eight out of 10 shows as of April 7 will win a circuit championship.

The WEF circuit champions will receive a championship cooler and ribbon, which will be presented before the Budweiser American Invitational on April 7, 2007. The Littlewood Winter Circuit awards will be presented at the Littlewood Winter Circuit Finale Horse Show and are invited to participate in the WEF Parade of Champions in the Internationale Arena on the WEF show grounds on Sunday, February 18, 2007. The Littlewood Spring Circuit awards will be given on April 29, 2007.

Current point standings for each division are posted every week outside the show office on the Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds and Littlewood show grounds. Keep track of points and be sure to attend the Budweiser American Invitational on April 7 to see the parade of winners.
