The Samsung Super League Series consists of the eight premier show jumping competitions in Europe. Only the top eight countries qualify to send teams to the Super League making it the crème de la crème of international show jumping competition. To qualify teams must finish the previous year’s Super League Series ranked first through seventh. The last team, or eight ranked, is dropped and is replaced by the team ranked first in another league called the Nation’s Cup. The eighth ranked team then competes in the Nation’s Cup league with the goal of regaining their Super League status.

In 2005 the United States Team won the Super League and in 2006 if finished second place behind Germany. George H. Morris is the Chef d’Equipe for the United States.
