2017 USEF Reining National Championships Set to Begin at Tulsa Reining Classic

Lexington, Ky. – Top athletes have converged at the Tulsa Reining Classic in hopes of claiming a title in one of the 2017 USEF Reining National Championships. Both the Adequan $10,000 Added USEF Open National Championship presented by Markel Insurance CRI3* and the $2,000 Added USEF Youth National Championship will take place Friday, September 1, at Expo Square in Tulsa, Okla. The open competitors will perform pattern nine and the youth competitors will perform pattern 12 in their pursuit of becoming a national champion. The youth reiners will compete in one of three divisions: 13 & Under, 14-18, and 19-21.

Entries include Matt Mills (Scottsdale, Ariz.), the 2015 reserve champion in the $25,000 Adequan/USEF Open Reining National Championship, and Nick Valentine (Pilot Point, Texas), U.S. team member at the 2016 SVAG FEI World Reining Championships, for the Adequan $10,000 Added USEF Open National Championship presented by Markel Insurance CRI3*. Platinum Performance U.S. Young Rider Team members Cade McCutcheon (Aubrey, Texas) and Dani Latimer (Marietta, Okla.) come to the Tulsa Reining Classic fresh off the 2017 SVAG FEI World Reining Championships for Juniors and Young Riders in Givrins, Switzerland to compete in the $2,000 Added USEF Youth National Championship.
