The World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc., the organization responsible for preparing and putting on the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010, announced that Crystal Bennett has been hired as marketing coordinator.
Bennett joins the Foundation after recently completing her graduate degree in sport administration at the University of Louisville. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. While completing her studies at both institutions, Bennett was very active with the athletic programs as both a volunteer and as an intern.
“We are excited to have Crystal join our team,” said Rolf Linder, Chief Marketing Officer of the Foundation. “She has hit the ground running and will play a vital role in our sales and marketing efforts.”
“I am very excited about the opportunity to join the 2010 Games staff,” stated Bennett. “I am looking forward to this experience and contributing in a meaningful way to the success of the event.”
An Atlanta native, Bennett now resides in Lexington.
The 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park, are the world championships of the eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the FEI, and are held every four years. The Games have never before been held outside of Europe; nor have all eight disciplines ever previously been held together at a single site—both firsts that will be achieved at the Kentucky Horse Park. The 2010 Games are expected to have a statewide economic impact of $150 million. It is anticipated that more than 600,000 spectators will attend the 16-day competition.
