Lexington, KY – The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has named the horse-and-rider combinations that will represent the United States at the 2007 FEI World Para-Dressage Championships. The announcement follows the 2007 USEF National Para-Equestrian Championship and World Championship Selection Trial, which was held on May 13 in conjunction with the Paxton Farm Spring Classic II & CDI***/Y.

The 2007 FEI World Para-Dressage Championships are to be held July 16-22, 2007, in Hartbury, Great Britain. The horse-and-rider combinations for that event include:

Rider/Horse
• Lynn Seidemann/Magnum Gold
• Barbara Grassmyer/Mibis
• Rebecca Hart/Norteassa
• Keith Newerla/Avery at Daybreak

1st Alternate
• Robin Brueckmann/Richmond

2nd Alternate
• Cynthia Ruiz/Valiente Corazon

The schedule at the 2007 USEF National Para-Equestrian National Championships included a USEF para-equestrian team test, individual test, and freestyle competition. Though pinned separately, the combined average score from the respective classes was used to designate the champion and reserve champion. Judging the event were two judges from Great Britain and one from The Netherlands.

With over 250 people in attendance, the USEF Para-Equestrian National Championship freestyle class was the featured event on Saturday evening, with dinner and drinks donated by Christy and Emily Bach. 2004 Paralympic Silver medalist Lynn Seidemann aboard Magnum Gold had a decisive win with a score of 75.333% over second-placed Barbara Grassmyer and Mibis, who scored a 68.333%. In addition, Seidemann and Magnum Gold also took the USEF Para-Equestrian Individual Championship Test with a score of 74.444%. Rebecca Hart aboard Norteasa were second with a score of 66.400%. Grassmyer ended up as the USEF National Para-Equestrian Reserve Champion based on her scores in the three tests.
