Nona Garson and George D'Ambrosio are pleased to announce that the fifth annual Intercontinental Sport Horse Auction will be held on February 22, 2008.

The auction will be held at Garson's farm, The Ridge, which is located in Palm Beach Pointe in Wellington, FL. Held during the height of the winter show season, the sale is like none other in the United States. Garson, an Olympic veteran, travels to Europe each year and handpicks each horse that will be offered at the auction.

In addition, each prospect has a complete set of pre-purchase x-rays taken no more than three months before the auction and a full set of graded flexions no more than 10 days before the auction. The auction veterinarian, in past years, has been United States Equestrian Team Veterinarian Dr. Brendan Furlong.

Last year, Garson offered about 30 horses for sale and estimated that she will bring in a similar number. Aside from importing horses, she also accepts several prospects from the U.S. and Canada and some consignment horses.

Interested parties will be able to view the horses online at www.interconsporthorse.com, which will have breeding details, individual specifications and photos once the group is finalized. There will be video clips available of each horse at least one week before the auction. Horses can be tried or viewed, by appointment.

The fifth annual Intercontinental Sport Horse Sales—Sport Horse Auction will be open to the public, but Garson suggests that attendees register in advance as the date approaches. For more information, please visit www.interconsporthorse.com or contact The Ridge Farm at (732) 681-4379.
