Hilltop Farm Announces Summer Inspections
by By Hilltop Farm | Jun 19, 2007, 3:59 PM
Hilltop Farm, Inc., is proud to present the American Hanoverian Society (AHS) Stallion, Mare and Foal Inspection on July 14, and the ISR/Oldenburg NA Mare and Foal Inspection on August 25, at Hilltop Farm in Colora, MD. These venues are open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. This is an invaluable opportunity to see the future superstars of tomorrow, today. Top breeders from the East Coast will bring the cream of the crop of foals, mares and stallions to be evaluated by their respective registries.
The AHS Inspection at Hilltop Farm will be the only Hanoverian stallion licensing site on the East Coast in 2007. All approved warmblood sires must pass an additional performance requirement to maintain their license, and later this year the 100-Day Performance Test will be held in Batavia, OH. This is the most proven method to fulfill the performance requirement. Since the stallions need to be licensed before the 100-Day Test, Hilltop Farm is expecting an exciting turnout of top contenders at the inspection in July.
The August ISR/Oldenburg Inspection is traditionally the largest inspection at Hilltop Farm. This registry has an incredible variety of proven bloodlines. If you want to witness the product of a breeder’s hard work and intuition, this is the place to be.
These educational opportunities will benefit any equestrian. From beginner rider to seasoned competitor, learn what makes a great horse from the start. A great “field trip” opportunity, organize for members of your GMO, club or stable to all attend, and plan to stay for the day. Estimated start time is 8 a.m., so be sure to get there bright and early.
