Al Dunning and Bob Avila Teamed Up on Reining Clinics Presented by Farnam Horse Products at Western States Horse Expo

Horse lovers from all walks of life gathered in the Sundowner Arena to attend a series of three clinics given by World Champion horsemen Al Dunning and Bob Avila, presented by Farnam Horse Products, during the Ninth Annual Western States Horse Expo, held June 8-10 in Sacramento, CA.

Through a unique blend of demonstrations, expert techniques and humorous banter, Dunning and Avila combined their considerable talents to provide the crowds with the proven methods for training reining horses. In the first clinic the team presented the “Formula to Success—Routing & Repetition vs. Feel & Real Horsemanship,” followed on successive days by “Real Life Reining—Getting Started, Basic Maneuvers” and “Finding the Happy Place—Teaching Collection and Cadence.”

“Bob and Al kept the crowd on the edge of their seats and asking for more at their clinics during Western States Horse Expo,” said Chris Jacobi, Senior Vice President of Farnam Horse Products. “They are world champion riders and trainers of world champion horses. Together they demonstrate a willingness to share the expertise that marks them as world-class equestrians. Like all professional equestrians, Bob and Al know high-quality products can help promote peak performance in competition and training.”

In addition to the clinics, Avila thrilled the crowd gathered Friday evening by winning the Magnificent 7 All-Around Stock Horse Competition while riding Brother White, known by many as “Preacher.” This was the first time anyone has won the event twice, let alone in two consecutive years.

This dynamic pair has agreed to team up again for a series of clinics sponsored by Farnam Horse Products at horseshows across the country. Dates and locations will be posted on the Farnam Horse Products website at www.farnamhorse.com as they are confirmed.
