ASHA to Webcast Lexington Junior League Horse Show Live

by By Daniel Rieffer | Jul 12, 2007, 11:25 AM

The American Saddlebred Horse Association is offering live streaming video of the Lexington Junior League Horse Show via its website at www.saddlebred.com. The webcast began with the show’s first session on Monday, July 9, and will include each session through the show’s conclusion on Saturday night, July 14. The same video feed that goes out to the Red Mile’s jumbotron and other video monitors will be broadcast worldwide on www.saddlebred.com. Plans are also underway to webcast the American Saddlebred Museum Art, Antique & Rare Book Auction on Saturday, July 14, at noon live from the Stable of Memories (the historic round barn at the Red Mile).

The webcast will become available before the start of each day’s first session. The fee to view the webcast is $15 per day/computer for Friday and Saturday. The license purchased to view the webcast is exclusive to each computer on which it is purchased. A 20% discount is available to ASHA members, resulting in a charge of $12 per day/computer Friday and Saturday. Payment will be accepted online using a credit or debit card.

Purchasing Saturday’s webcast will include access to view the Museum’s Auction, which includes paintings by George Ford Morris among the 75 items featured as conducted by renowned auctioneer Walt Robertson.

A broadband, DSL or cable modem Internet connection is required to view the webcast. A dial-up Internet connection is not sufficient. Those interested in purchasing the webcast should go to the ASHA website and follow the instructions provided. Each day of the show, at midnight, the current day's license to view the webcast will expire, and a new license must be purchased for the next day's webcast of the show.
