Bugatti Hilltop Coming to the United States

by By Natalie DiBerardinis | Sep 24, 2007, 10:44 AM

In response to numerous inquiries and requests from American breeders, Hilltop Farm announced that Bugatti Hilltop will come home this fall to stand at stud at Hilltop Farm, making him available in the U.S. for breeding by both fresh cooled and frozen semen for the 2008 season. The 1998 Hanoverian stallion, by Bergamon out of a Rubinstein I x Donnerhall mare, has competed successfully in dressage for several years with Michael Klimke in Germany. Currently competing at Prix St. Georges and Intermediare I, Bugatti has earned top placings at both national and CDI competitions in Europe. Once in the United States, Bugatti will continue in work with Hilltop’s Director of Training Chris Hickey.

For the past six years, U.S. breeders have had access to Bugatti Hilltop through frozen semen, and his offspring have earned numerous site championships at breed inspections. Bugatti’s eldest offspring are now winning under saddle, and his three-year-old son, Bravo, has been licensed by ISR/Oldenburg NA. Bugatti’s outstanding character, temperament and rideability, which scored 9's at his 100-day test, are consistently being passed on to his offspring, along with a very correct foundation and strong hind end.
