124th National Horse Show and Family Festival Offers VIP Experience for Guests and Sponsors

by By Phelps Media Group | Nov 8, 2007, 1:10 PM

The National Horse Show and Family Festival (NHS) is as well-known for its exquisite social events as it is for its high-caliber horses and riders. One of the most recognized social soirees of the season is the "Jumping Under the Stars" Gala, held at the 124th National Horse Show and Family Festival. The horse show will be held from December 5-9 at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, FL.

Scheduled for Friday, December 7, at 6:30 p.m., guests at "Jumping Under the Stars" will dine ringside in the Diamond Horseshoe Club and enjoy watching the first phase of the Rolex/USEF National Show Jumping Championship presented by Equine Motorcoach. Opening ceremonies for this event will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Internationale Arena.

VIP Gold Member Front Row and Silver Member Second and Third Row tables are now available in the Diamond Horseshoe Club, and table holders have access to the VIP club and its luxurious amenities throughout the five-day horse show. Catering will once again be provided by La Peche Catering.

The menu for the gala includes such hors d'oeuvres as caprese skewers, chilled sliced filets on pumpernickel bread with horseradish cream and fried garlic, carrot-ginger soup, and seared sashimi. Main entrees include beef tenderloin, chicken with brown sherry sauce and caramelized Chipoline onions, and fresh flounder stuffed with spinach, crab meat, and goat cheese. Cocktails and desserts will also be served.

After the "Jumping Under the Stars" Gala, guests are invited to attend the after party, held in the Special Events Tent near the Internationale Arena. The after party, which is sponsored by Equine Motorcoach, has the theme "Dancing With the Equestrian Stars." Professional dancers will be dancing competition style with equestrians, who will change into sequined ball gowns. The pairs will perform such ballroom dances as the fox trot, tango, and waltz for a panel of judges. NHS Chairman Mason Phelps will emcee the occasion, and Equine Motorcoach's Julie Calazone will present the awards. Guests can dance the night away, enjoying great music and cocktails.

As the winter season rounds the corner, the 124th National Horse Show and Family Festival welcomes equestrians back to Wellington, drawing the calendar year of 2007 to a close and celebrating the beginning of the 2008 circuit. While horses and riders showcase their talent, spectators and community members can enjoy a wonderful weekend at the horse show and watch the very best horses and riders in the nation compete for incredible prizes.
