Beginning December 1, 2007, all U.S. competitors must present either a U.S. National Passport or an FEI passport at lower level FEI events in the U.S. The following events are considered lower level FEI events (CSI 1*/2*, CDI 1*/2*, CCI or CIC 1*/2*, CRI 1*/2*, CAI-B, CVI 1*).
FEI Passports are still required at upper level FEI events and events outside the competitor’s home country.
GR1309.4 U.S. Competitors competing in their own country in an FEI-sanctioned event, not requiring an FEI Passport, must present a valid USA National Passport or a valid FEI Passport. Exception: Endurance Minor Events. BOD 1/15/07 Effective 12/1/07
The Passport Department would like to encourage all members who plan to participate in any of the above listed FEI events to start this process as soon as possible. By submitting your paperwork now, you will eliminate the need for any last minute rush.
The United States Equestrian Federation office will be closed during the holiday week of Monday, December 24, 2007, through Tuesday, January 1, 2008. We will resume our normal office hours on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
