Intercontinental Sport Horse Auction Has Limited Space Available for Select Consignment Horses

The fifth annual Intercontinental Sport Horse Auction is pleased to annouce that limited spaces remain for selected consignment horses for inclusion in this year's sale, which will be held on February 22 at The Ridge Farm in Wellington, FL.

The auction is modeled after traditional European sales. In addition, the horses have complete x-rays taken no more than three months before the auction and a complete set of flexion tests no more than 10 days before the auction. Held during the height of the winter show season, the sale is like none other in the United States. Garson, an Olympic veteran, travels to Europe each year and hand picks each horse that will be offered at the auction.

"We turn down hundreds of horses for the auction and try to bring in a select few from hunters, jumpers, dressage horses, maybe a few ponies, depending on the quality that I can find. I like to bring in some new faces, so to speak. I like to bring in some young prospects and then some horses that are experienced—suitable for amateurs or juniors. Some of the horses that we bring in have shown through the grand prix level, and then some are just young prospects that are just starting, and then everything in between," Garson explained.

Interested parties can contact The Ridge Farm at (732) 681-4379 to discuss options for a horse to be included in the sale.

Buyers will be able to view the final group of horses online at www.interconsporthorse.com, which will have breeding details, individual specifications and photos. There will be video clips available of each horse at least one week before the auction. The Intercontinental Sport Horse Auction is open to the public. However, it is suggested that attendees register in advance. For more information, please visit www.interconsporthorse.com or contact The Ridge Farm.
