Penn-Ohio Futurity and Ohio Limited Breeders Announce Upcoming Saddlebred Activities

The Penn-Ohio Futurity and the Ohio Limited Breeders Weanling Stake Stallion Service Auction have jointly announced a full day of Saddlebred activities on February 2, 2008, at the Champions Center, Clark County Fairgrounds in Springfield, OH.

Beginning at 1 p.m., the Penn-Ohio Futurity will sponsor a training clinic featuring Bret and Susi Day. Attendees are welcome to bring a horse and participate or just watch and learn. Contact Marcia Belcher at (330) 625-1009 or [email protected].

At 5 p.m., the Ohio Limited Breeders Weanling Stake will host a dinner followed by the annual stallion service auction. Dinner reservations may be made by contacting Claire Messerly at (740) 654-1101 or [email protected]. The cost of the dinner is $15 per person.

Additionally, the American Saddlebred Horse Association of Ohio will host a clothing/tack swap from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The 2007 stallion service auction raised nearly $36,000 for the 2008 weanling class jackpot. The 2007 jackpot awarded over $22,000 in prize money.
