The National Dressage Pony Cup will hold its inaugural show June 28-29, 2008, at Paxton Farm in Cincinnati, OH. The show was created by a group of pony owners in order to promote ponies, their breeders and riders in dressage competition in the United States. Ponies of all breeds are invited to attend the United States Dressage Federation/United States Equestrian Federation-recognized show held in conjunction with Paxton Farms Summer Classic. The ponies will be officially measured at the show unless they already have a permanent measurement card.
Thanks to generous donations and sponsorships, the show will be able to award some fantastic prizes and recognize the achievements of the winning ponies. There are also rider awards for youth and adult ridersl high-point, breed-specific awards and even a special award for the oldest pony competing. Classes will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and the pony cup consists of one class per day per level, Intro through FEI. Ponies may compete in more than one level and/or with more than one rider.
There will be an awards ceremony after the classes are completed on Sunday, complete with photographer and videographer.
