Six of America’s top Grand Prix Riders will perform at the “Fete Cheval,” a first of its kind event, to be held on Saturday evening, February 12, 2005, during the 2005 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
--Molly Ashe, Winner of the Devon, Harrisburg, Tampa and Berlin Grand Prix, and the RBC Cup at Spruce Meadows. Two-time winner of the Budweiser Invitational.
--Margie Goldstein-Engle, Eight-Time American Grand Prix Association Rider of the Year and member of the Sydney Olympic Show Jumping Team.
--Alison Firestone, Alternate on the 2004 Athens Olympic Show Jumping Team, third in the 2004 AGA National Championships and second in 2003.
--Eric Hasbrouck, Winner of the Old Salem Grand Prix and American Gold Cup with posted wins at Ox Ridge, Fairfield and Palm Beach.
--Leslie Howard, Gold and Silver Olympic medalist, winner of the world’s richest Grand Prix Event--the Du Maurier Limited International Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows, the Queen Elizabeth Cup, the $100,000 Shell Cup, and “World Top Ten” competitor in 2002.
--McLain Ward, Silver medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics, winner of the $100,000 2004 National Horse Show Lexus Jumper Championship and three-time American Grand Prix Association (AGA) Rider of the Year.

The Honorary Chairpersons of the event, to benefit The EQUUS Foundation, Inc., will be Jane Forbes Clark, Dr. Sheila Johnson and Eugene Mische. Event Co-Chairs Jenny Belknap, Lynn Coakley and Mason Phelps, Jr., promise an unforgettable event. Guests at the “Fete Cheval” will enjoy an evening of feasting and equestrian revelry, featuring equestrian games performed by notable riders and trainers in equestrian sport. The event will be held in Special Events Pavilion overlooking the Internationale Arena where the games will take place. Helen and Thomas Rautenbach of Wellington Show Stables will be donating the horses for the games.
