Hanoverian Stallion Schroeder Now Available to American Breeders

by By Kathy Hickerson | Feb 27, 2008, 3:29 PM

Kathy Hickerson at Majestic Gaits announced the arrival in New Hampshire of Hanoverian stallion Schroeder (Sandro Hit x Esmeralda, by Escudo I) from Germany. Schroeder was bought at the prestigious Hanoverian Elite Stallion Auction in 2006 and completed his 70-day stallion performance test at Gestut Redfin in Germany in October 2007. Hickerson is very excited to have Schroeder in the United States. He has a fabulous character, trainability and bloodlines. He is so nice to work with and has three good gaits and very fancy movement with powerful hindquarters. His sire, Sandro Hit, and his dam sire, Escudo I, were both World Young Horse champions. Schroeder's dam, Esmeralda, was champion at several elite mare shows in Germany.

Schroeder's first foals are due in 2008. Hickerson plans to show him in hand at the United States Dressage Federation breed shows in the New England series and at Devon. Schroeder joins Majestic Gaits' current Dutch stallions Farrington (Wellington x Doruto), the only Keur stallion in America and VDL Navarone (Jus de Pomme x Armstrong), the only approved KWPN son of Olympic Jus de Pomme, two-time Olympic gold in Atlanta. Schroeder will join the program to back VDL frozen semen with fresh semen. Colleen O'Connor-Dzik, who is currently riding Navarone at Intermediare I, will plan to show Schroeder in the FEI Young Horse tests. Pictures and videos can be seen at www.majesticgaits.com.
