The Youth Mundial has been moved to Medellin, Colombia. The Dominican Republic was not able to fulfill the responsibility so Confepaso voted to move it to Colombia. There is some interest among youth and their families to represent the U.S. at this international competition. In order to select the U.S. team, the Paso Fino Horse Association (PFHA) Youth Committee has set the qualifying workshops/shows for the following dates and locations:
March 22, 2008
Ocala FL
Contact: Diego Bravo at [email protected]
April 12, 2008
Miami, FL
Contact: Alexandra Escudero at [email protected] or (786) 218-7016
April 12, 2008
Troy, IL
Contact: Christy Meyer at [email protected] or (618) 667-9909
There will be only six members from each age group. The girls and boys are divided as follows: Girls and Boys will compete
separately. Ages 4-6, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17, and 18-24.
The coaches will be taking video of all the riders at the tryouts in the event that there are more than six kids in one category to choose from. We will try to make arrangements so that the team can travel together from Miami and all through the week in Colombia.
All parents and youth who make the team will have to have a valid passport to travel.
