Bugatti Hilltop Approved by Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society

by Brian Sosby | Mar 26, 2008, 11:11 AM

Hilltop Farm is proud to announce the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society (GOV) approval of our newly imported stallion, Bugatti Hilltop.

Bugatti Hilltop (Bergamon - Rubinstein - Donnerhall) has added another credential to his record with his recent approval by the GOV. Purchased by Hilltop Farm as a coming three-year-old, Bugatti passed his 70-day test in Germany with the impressive score of 140.62 in the dressage phase. Bugatti was competed from the Bundeschampionat through Intermediaire I by Germany's Michael Klimke. He stood for three seasons at the National Stud of Sweden and has sired a number of inspection site champions and premium foals in the U.S. through frozen semen.

Bugatti demonstrates an excellent temperament, a strong uphill frame, exceptional rideability, and a pedigree that consistently produces successful dressage horses. His sire, Bergamon, is a son of Baryshnikov (Bolero), who was the winner of his 100-day test. Bugatti's dam, SPS Raffinesse, is by the renowned stallion Rubinstein.

Hilltop imported Bugatti to the United States in September 2007. He and Chris Hickey, Hilltop Farm's Director of Training, are already successfully competing in Florida with wins at Prix St. Georges and Intermediare I. Mare owners breeding to Bugatti can now choose between AHS, ISR/Oldenburg, SWANA, and the GOV when it is time to register their offspring, and we look forward to seeing his influence in this new registry. Now that he is home at Hilltop, he is also available to North American breeders for breeding with fresh cooled semen.
