Fortune Commercial Properties Becomes the Official Commercial Realty Company of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

The World Games 2010 Foundation announced that Fortune Commercial Properties, a Lexington-based company, as the Official Commercial Realty Company of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. As part of the partnership, Fortune will provide 10,000 square feet of warehouse space and 6,000 square feet of office space for the World Games 2010 Foundation, as well as a financial contribution in support of the 2010 Games. The space is expected to be used for storage and as a center of operations for the 6,000-person volunteer program.

Fortune Commercial Properties has been constructing class-A offices, showrooms, warehouses and distribution centers since 1983. John Paul Miller is the owner and Amy Mellinger is the property/leasing manager. They have grown to be one of the largest commercial property companies in Kentucky. I own a buckskin Quarter horse, an ex-reiner, ‘Drifter,’ and my wife owns a Palomino Missouri Fox Trotter, ‘Sunny.’ She has also been in the Thoroughbred business for 25 years. We’ve ridden on trails in Kentucky, Ireland, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Florida, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.

The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park September 25-October 10, 2010, are the world championships of the eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), and are held every four years. The Games have never before been held outside of Europe; nor have all eight disciplines ever previously been held together at a single site—both firsts that will be achieved at the Kentucky Horse Park.
