Torri Nahorniak Named USEF High Performance Director of Eventing

Lexington, KY -- Effective today, Torri Nahorniak has been named as High Performance Director of Eventing for the USEF. She is assuming the position vacated by Jim Wolf who was recently named Executive Director of High Performance She will divide her time between the Lexington, Kentucky headquarters office and the USEF High Performance office in Gladstone, New Jersey.

“We couldn’t have found a better person than Torri for this position,” said USEF Chief Executive Officer John Long. “She has done a terrific job as the Sport Manager for Eventing, a sport in which she competes, and has a complete understanding of the requirements for both national and FEI competitions. Torri is respected by both coaches and athletes, which is critical to helping the USEF field the best Eventing teams in the world.”

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Torri for the last few years and have observed her excellent work ethic and outstanding organizational skills. Torri is very knowledgeable about the sport of eventing and the role of High Performance in the overall matrix of the USEF. Torri will be an excellent addition to the USEF High Performance staff. She is ideally positioned to maintain and enhance the success of the Eventing High Performance program,” said Jim Wolf.

Torri Nahorniak is a graduate of Cornell University with a BS degree in Animal Science. She has been working at the USEF since 2002 as Sport Manager for Eventing.
