TV Series The Saddle Club™ Rides Again! for Tweens to Premiere Fall 2008

by By Karin Lippert | Jun 4, 2008, 9:56 AM

Carole, Stevie and Lisa, the girls who formed the Saddle Club at Pine Hollow Stables are back with 26 new live-action adventures—The Saddle Club™ Rides Again! They will appear on public television stations in the U.S. through American Public Television, Inc. (APT), Exchange and Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. (CPT), this fall.

The Saddle Club™, based on the best-selling books by Bonnie Bryant, is the world’s most popular series about girls and horses. The new series of adventures was filmed at a state-of-the-art equestrian facility in Australia. It boasts a talented cast of girls and boys--from Australia and Canada--and adults, who are part of their lives and train the young riders and their beautiful horses.

With stories that are based on real-life situations and challenges faced by girls and boys, the series has the unique ability to engage, entertain, and educate kids. It promotes friendship, respect for others, equestrian sports, and a love of our four-legged friends to horse enthusiasts of all ages.

“We are very excited about the new series and the opportunity to expand our partnerships with equestrian organizations, riding schools, and local public television stations,” said Karin Lippert of Protocol Entertainment, Inc. “We know from experience that the television series can help bring a new wave of young girls and boys into riding and at the same time bring new viewers to local stations.”

Supporters of the series, like Monique Keitz, Business Manager of Carriage Hill Farm, tell us:

The Saddle Club™ audience is the very group we need to introduce to Carriage Hill Farm and with sponsorship of the series on public television (WPBT, Channel 2 South Florida) we are able to reach a much wider audience in our local community than any other single method. “

The Saddle Club™ is a co-production of Crawford Productions Pty ltd. (Australia) and Protocol Entertainment, Inc. (Canada). Series 1—Girl Power Meets Horse Power—of The Saddle Cub™ premiered on public television stations in September 2006. It was one of the most successful launches of a children’s program in APT’s 43-year history. With the launch of Series 2—The Girls are Growing Up—in 2007 the television series established itself as a public television must-see with kids across America.

With the premiere of Series 3 in September through APT Exchange and in association with CPTV, 78x30 episodes will be available. The 26 new half-hour adventures will feature a musical performance in every episode, new behind-the-scenes "Saddle Club Video Journals," and stories that demonstrate that characters from the pages of books continue to have the power to inspire kids and be a source for television’s most popular shows.
