The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc., is please to announce the formation of the Eventing High-Performance Owners Task Force. The task force will serve in an advisory role to the Eventing High-Performance Committee with the primary goal of winning medals in championship competitions.
Owners of horses who have represented the U.S. in Olympic Games, Pan American Games, or CCI*** and CCI**** competitions in the last quadrennium (2004-2007) were invited to participate on the Eventing Owners Task Force.
The following owners were elected to the Task Force:
—Mark Hart, Chairman
—Ann Jones, Vice Chairman
—Rebecca Broussard
—Richard Byyny
—Tim Holekamp
—Ashley MacVaugh
—Shannon Stimson
—Richard Thompson
—Lellie Ward
As chairman, Hart will serve on the Eventing High Performance Committee as a non-voting advisor, representing the interests of eventing horse owners.
Sara Ike, USEF's Managing Director of Eventing, said, "Eventing horse owners are stakeholders in the sport. Establishing this task force provides another avenue of communication and will ensure the owners have an opportunity for their concerns to be heard."
All of the task force members are long-term horse owners who were elected by their peers.
