Olympic Cross-Country Public Course Inspection Offered at Beas River

Spectators holding Olympic Games tickets for the cross-country test of eventing competition on August 11, 2008 (Session EQ-04), can take part in a public course inspection on August 8, 2008, at the Beas River venue. You must register online to participate in this course inspection.

Due to preparation work on the course, visitor numbers will be limited to 2,000 on a first-come-first-serve basis. There will be no horse activity during the public course inspection. The online registration system will be closed by July 20, 2008.

Details are as follows:

Date: August 8, 2008 (Friday)
Time: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. (venue will close at 6 p.m.)
Eligibility:
(1) Ticket holders of Olympic Games Session EQ-04 (August 11 for Eventing Cross-Country) AND
(2) A printed confirmation which will be displayed to show the completed registration

Please be prepared for inclement weather during your approximately 5.7 km trek along the Olympic Eventing Cross-Country course. Please bring your poncho or raincoat if necessary, as umbrellas are not advisable in the venue. Catering services will not be open. Visitors are advised to bring their own refreshments. Cameras can be used during the course walk.

Free shuttle will be provided to eligible ticket holders at the Fan Ling MTR station and the Beas River venue. Shuttle will run every 15 minutes (depends on traffic) during the designated times. The last shuttle will depart Beas River venue at 6 p.m.
