Challenge of the Americas Fast Facts

What: The Challenge of the Americas, a Grand Prix team dressage quadrille and musical freestyle competition.
When: March 12, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. (under the lights)
Where: The Players Club and Palm Beach Polo

Why: To raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, http://www.bcrfcure.org

Who: Teams representing the United States, Canada and Latin America

Opening Demo Rider: Silke Rembacz riding Highlife Farm’s Connecticut will demonstrate the Grand Prix movements before the competition begins.

Team Members:
· USA: George Williams, Betsy Steiner, Lynda Alicki, Bent Jensen, Pamela Goodrich, Susan Jaccoma and Michael Barisone
· Canada: Evi Strasser, Jacqueline Brooks, Shannon Dueck and Ashley Holzer
· Latin America: Patrick Burssens, Cesar Parra, Yvonne Losos de Muniz, Marco Bernal and Gabriel Armando

Qualifications: All of these riders have represented their respective country in International Grand Prix championship competition.

Judges: Canadian: Lorraine Stubbs; Latin American: Maribel Alonso; USA to be announced. Celebrity judges to be announced.

Admission: General admission: $10 donation will provide field-side seating. Bring chairs and blankets. Concession will be available. VIP admission: $200 per person. Tables (seating ten), range from $2,000 to $6,500. VIP admission includes ringside viewing of “The Challenge of the Americas,” cocktails and hors d’oevres, awards ceremony, and the opportunity to meet and mingle with riders and judges during the Challenge Gala dinner and dancing at The Players Club immediately following the competition.

Parking: VIP’s enter at Players Club. General Admission follows signs to parking lot.
