Pfizer Animal Health is pleased to announce their support of the New Canaan Mounted Troop, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to building leadership, responsibility and confidence in youth through sound horsemanship. As part of the growing relationship, Pfizer Animal Health and the troop will work together to help foster good health for the organization’s horses, while providing a hands-on learning experience in equine care for its young members.

New Canaan Mounted Troop (NCMT) has used Pfizer Animal Health products to establish a healthy, effective program for their horses for many years. As part of this program, all eligible horses are enrolled in Pfizer’s PreventiCare™ equine wellness program and use Strongid® C or Strongid® C 2X™ daily, as well as twice-yearly doses of Equimax™. In addition, by using Solitude IGR™ in all their horses, the troop has found relief from flies. That means a healthier, more pleasant environment for both the horses and the people who enjoy them.

Founded in 1939, the NCMT is a non-profit organization that is devoted to building a strong foundation among their youth.
Through horses, they have touched the lives of hundreds of children. They offer their young riders extensive instruction, no matter the child’s ability. They also teach sound practices in stable management, safety and complete horse care. Educational lectures, demonstration and community service projects are also an integral part of the hands-on curriculum.
