Mark your calendars for the Challenge of the Americas and the Challenge Gala dinner dance, which will be held on Saturday night, March 7, 2009, at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, FL.
This spectacular equestrian evening event returns for its eighth consecutive year as an annual fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The Challenge, a one-of-a-kind team competition, highlights the Olympic sports of grand prix dressage and grand prix show jumping. Competing riders are always an impressive "Who's Who" list of top equestrians from the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. The highly entertaining format showcases the excitement of the high jump and the elegance of the musical freestyle. The Challenge Gala, an elegant and fun dinner dance, follows the competition.
For the third time in its history, the Challenge of the Americas returns to the outstanding International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC), which hosted the event in 2006 and 2007 with great success and achieved high marks from attendees and competitors. The 2009 Challenge of the Americas will once again be showcased on Stanford Field, the main polo field at IPC. Overlooking the field, the venue features VIP box seats for Challenge Gala table holders and special tier seating for general admission ticket holders. All seats have a panoramic view of Stanford Field where the thrilling show-jumping action and spectacular dressage musical freestyles will be showcased under lights at their entertaining best. The Challenge Gala, always a sell-out, will once again be held in IPC's spacious and elegant catering tent off Stanford Field.
