Majestic Gaits KWPN Elite Dutch Warmblood mare Torette R (Silvano x Flemmingh) became Grand Champion of the New England Dressage Association (NEDA) Great American United States Dressage Federation (USDF) Breeders Championship Show in Saugerties, NY. Torette R also became the USDF New England series Bred Mare Champion. Kathy Hickerson, the owner of Torette R and Majestic Gaits bought the mare from VDL Stud in Holland after she was #4 National Mare in Holland.

Hickerson said, "This was very special and extra hard for a mare with a foal by her side. We also were showing her foal Dorette MG that we bred by our new stallion Schroeder (Sandro Hit x Escudo I). Torette R had to perform in the classes for her foal so she had twice as many classes as the other horses. We are very proud to have her and the job she has done this year. She is currently USDF #2 Horse of the Year for Bred mares and her foal is USDF #4 Horse of the Year 2008 fillies.

"The NEDA Fall Festival moved several years ago to the prestigious HITS show grounds in NY. Not only is it our elite New England breed show championships, but it is a CDI and the also the Marshall & Sterling National Jumping Finals is happening, too. It is a huge show ground with international horses, riders and classes. The stabling is quite far for the horses and they have to walk over a bridge. They have to deal with many things, including golf carts, three announcers and a lot of vendor tents. When you win here, it is very special and quite an accomplishement. We had a very good show season and very happy."

Majestic Gaits is a Dutch Warmblood breeder in New Hampshire and stands the Dutch Warmblood approved Stallions Navarone (Jus de Pomme x Armstrong), Farrington Keur (Wellington x Doruto) and their new Hanoverian-approved stallion Schroeder (Sandro Hit x Escudo I), the sire of Dorette MG, who also was highly successful like her mother.
