One of the top hunter breeders in the country will now have a place to store the coolers and saddle pads her horses have been awarded throughout the year thanks to winning a brand new Oakcroft Tack Trunk at the recent USEF Annual Convention.

Dr. Paula Pell of St. Petersburg, FL, was the lucky winner of the “Win An Oakcroft Trunk,” which took place during an Oakcroft sponsored breakout session at the annual convention in Cincinnati, OH, and was open to all attendees. Pell and her husband were at the convention to accept the championship Green Working Hunter Silver Stirrup Award won by their six-year-old gelding Unbelievable.

“What a thrill to win the tack trunk,” Pell said. “It has been a great year and this was a great way to end the year. Now we have a place to put all the coolers and saddle pads that our horses have won.”

For those who weren’t able to attend the USEF convention but would like to see more of the fine wood craftsmanship of Oakcroft trunks, Oakcroft is heading south for the winter and will have a booth at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington during the month of February.

Oakcroft is an active supporter of the equestrian community. While at WEF, Oakcroft will donate an Oakcroft Bit Box to Pennfield's “That’s A Promise Tour,” which will take place at the special events pavilion on February 8 and will raise money for the USEF Young Riders Program. For a third consecutive year, Oakcroft will also be a sponsor at the USEF Pony Finals in August.

All Oakcroft items are crafted with pride by Oakcroft Trunks & Stable Accessories, a fine custom trunk company located in Western Michigan. Oakcroft maintains a tradition of fine wood craftsmanship with a commitment to service and timeliness. The company is made up of riders who know the conditions equipment is exposed to in the barn and away at shows. They also understand that a well-designed barn and beautiful, hardworking equipment are key components for the successful day-to-day operation of a stable, whether it be a small for-pleasure barn or a large training and showing business.

During the “Win an Oakcroft Trunk” drawing at the USEF convention, Combined Driver Chester Weber, a 2008 Equestrian of Honor who is also sponsored by Oakcroft, was on hand to pull the winning name and present the prize to Pell.
