by By the Paso Fino Horse Association | Feb 12, 2009, 12:00 PM

The Paso Fino Horse Association (PFHA) Board of Directors at their January meeting instituted a policy that will allow Trocha, Trote y Galope and Trocha y Galope classes. These classes may be offered at both regional shows and at the Grand National Championship Show. They will be broken down as follows for each of the above modalites:

- Stallions and Colts
- Mares and Fillies
- Geldings

In order for a horse to be shown in one of these classes, the horse must first obtain a Show Validation Certificate from the Paso Fino Horse Association. The horse must also be registered with an recognized accepted registry of PFHA. A Show Validation Registration Application must be completed and accompanied with an original or certified copy of the certificate of registration from the accepted registry.

Additionally, all owner(s) and the exhibitor must be current members of PFHA. The fee for the Show Validation Certificate will be determined at the April Board of Directors meeting in Atlanta, Georgia on April 17-18, 2009.

Horses registered with PFHA are not eligible to participate in these classes.
