The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce that the Chattahoochee Hills Three-Day Event on May 15-17, 2009, will be a part of this year’s Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series.

Chattahoochee Hills offers several events throughout the year at the state-of-the-art facility in Fairburn, GA. “Chat Hills” as it’s known to its fans, kicked off their first events last year, offering divisions from novice through intermediate. This year, they’ve included FEI divisions, and the CIC** will the official “Gold Cup” division, where riders compete for the chance to win points, prizes, and cash.

Owned by Belgian Olympic three-day rider Carl Bouckaert, this 8,000-acre equestrian paradise features well-established rolling pastures, pristine lakes, and picturesque woodlands that run 12 miles along the Chattahoochee River. The farm is convenient for travelers—it’s located a mere 15 miles from Atlanta’s Hartfield Airport.

Chattahoochee Hills offers two spring events, held on April 11-12, May 15-17, and a final event in the fall on October 31-November 1.

“Our goal is to make this event very horse-friendly,” said Chattahoochee Hills organizer and course designer Ritch Temple. “The footing is fantastic in all sorts of weather—whether we get serious rain or a drought, it holds up incredibly well.”

Temple is also the owner of Broadstone Equine, the official equine insurance provider of the USEA. An "R" USEF-licensed technical delegate and FEI-licensed course designer, Temple has designed courses all over the U.S., including the upper level courses at the American Eventing Championships in Wayne, IL.

The Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series will run a schedule of eight competitions across the country for the 2009 series. All of the events will be held at the advanced level, with the exception of the Stuart CIC** and the new addition, Chattahoochee Hills, which will run a CIC**. These events will still be held from coast to coast, giving all competitors an equal chance to be successful in this popular series. The events will include: The Fork, Stuart, Galway Downs, Chattahoochee Hills, Richland Park, The Event at Rebecca Farm, Twin Rivers, and the Bit of Britain/USEA American Eventing Championships.
