Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, one of the leading horse show management companies in the nation, is pleased to announce the 2009 Kentucky Spring Horse Show dates. The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows are hunter/jumper competitions held for two weeks at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The first week of competition, the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, will be held from May 6-10, and the Kentucky Spring Classic will follow the week of May 13-17, 2009.

This stellar horse show series attracts top riders from across the country to participate in their exciting jumper classes and grand prix events. With two grand prix events each week, show jumping riders have the opportunity to compete for tens of thousands of dollars in prize money.

The show series offers top-notch rated hunter divisions, which will be held in the newly resurfaced main hunter ring, the Stonelea Arena. Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, is currently installing new footing in the main hunter arena and the large hunter schooling ring with a new high-tech surface designed by the German company OTTO Sport-und Reitplatz GmbH. This footing system proved to be a fantastic surface in the Walnut Arena last year when it was installed before the Kentucky Summer Horse Shows.

The new outdoor stadium, which will be used in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™, will be used for show jumping competition at the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows. This stadium has also been resurfaced with the OTTO Sport footing system.

Along with top-of-the-line footing, the picturesque Kentucky Horse Park offers excellent stabling, plenty of exercise rings and spacious places to ride, miles of trails, lush cross-country fields that span the horizon, and an indoor arena. The Kentucky Horse Park is the host of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ and home to the United States Equestrian Federation.

While competing at the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows, exhibitors and their families can also explore downtown Lexington, which features fine dining and shopping. The beautiful Lexington area offers numerous hotel accommodations near the horse show facilities and the main downtown area.
