Lexington, KY— ClubEquestrian.com will feature a blog from the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, which runs through March 29 at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, TX. Wendy Cook, Executive Director of the show, will bring readers closer to the action of this multi-breed show. Known as one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious horse competitions, Pin Oak is the first United States Equestrian Federation competition designated as a Heritage Competition. Pin Oak has been holding charity horse shows for 64 years and has raised close to $4 million for the Texas Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House of Houston.

From volunteer to Executive Director, Cook has been involved with the show for almost a decade.

“I firmly believe that I am most satisfied when I am serving my community, improving the future for the next generation, and working in an atmosphere that I enjoy daily,” said Cook.
The Katy, TX-resident enjoys trail riding and has owned a Palomino Quarter Horse mare and a Missouri Fox Trotter. She is a mother of three—Veronica, Skyler, and Jackson. In addition, her mini Australian Shepherd, Cha Cha, is a part of the Cook family.
