Entries Now Open for the American Hunter Pony Classic

Entries for the 2009 American Hunter Pony Classic are now being accepted. The auction of selected pony hunters will be held in conjunction with the USEF Pony Finals National Championships. The deadline for entries is June 15, 2009.

The 2009 American Hunter Pony Classic will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. A preview of ponies and a cookout is scheduled for Tuesday.

The 2008 American Hunter Pony Classic established international records in several major categories. New World Records were set for average sale price at $16,329 and gross sales at $1,143,000, both 21% increases from 2007. Other records were set for average price for the Top Ten Ponies Sold at $44,300; Highest Priced Two-Year-Pony sold at auction at $37,500; the second Highest Priced Three-Year-Old pony sold at auction, $42,000; and the Highest-Priced Three-Year-Old Pony Filly Sold at auction, $41,500. Ponies have been sold to buyers from 21 states and Canada.
