Job seekers in the equine industry will have a unique opportunity to learn more about educational options at an equine education fair sponsored by the Kentucky Horse Council (KHC). “Your Future with Horses” will be held in conjunction with the KHC annual conference on November 14, 2009, at the Scott County High School in Georgetown, KY.
The event features colleges, universities, and certificate programs from Kentucky and around the country offering equine and horse-related programs. In addition, seminars featuring equine professionals from a variety of careers within the industry are scheduled throughout the day.
“As an educational organization our goal is to connect people with appropriate resources. ‘Your Future with Horses’ will do just that both for job seekers wanting more information about career options as well as students seeking further education,” emphasized Madelyn Millard, KHC Board President.
“There are so many careers within the equine industry which many young people are not aware of. It is our goal to highlight the diversity of horse-related career paths as well as the importance of education and networking to help individuals set themselves apart from job competitors,” Millard continued.
“Your Future with Horses” is free and open to the public. For more information or to become involved, visit www.kentuckyhorse.org or contact the Kentucky Horse Council at (859) 367-0509 or email [email protected].
