Copper Beech, LLC, is pleased to announce that CBMF Phoenix (DBA Street Talk x Treble's Wild Memories) has been selected as the winning prize in this year's American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA)/Team Morgan Win a Morgan Horse Contest. One lucky contestant will be the proud new owner of this handsome Morgan gelding.
By the many-time champion, DBA Street Talk, and out of the reserve world champion, Treble's Wild Memories, Phoenix is a three-year-old bay gelding, who is green-broke and can ride and drive. He's currently 14.3 to 15 hands and "is healthy as a horse," said his manager, Harry Sebring. "He is started and ready to be finished by his new owner in the direction that fits their interest."
Hailey's dedication to the Morgan breed was seeded more than 20 years ago. She was inducted into the AMHA Breeders Hall of Fame in 2007 for her contributions and impact on the Morgan breed. Many of her CBMF horses have gone on to the winner's circle at the Morgan Grand National, the breed's largest and most competitive show, including CBMF Ruling Class, CBMF Mozambique, CBMF Night Whispers, CBMF Arbitrage, CBMF Infatuation, CBMF Double Down, and CBMF Strike Zone, to name just a few.
The AMHA/Team Morgan Win a Morgan Horse Contest is open to any youth, age 21 and under, who is interested in owning a Morgan horse. The applicant will complete an application, essay, DVD, and include two letters of reference and submit the package to AMHA by September 2, 2009, at 5 p.m. EST. The entry fee is $50. The winning entry will be announced October 17. The winner is responsible for transportation of the horse from Massachusetts to his or her own location.
Hailey has once again generously donated a Morgan horse from her breeding program as the prize. Last year, nine-year-old Christie Little of Harrington, DE, was the proud winner of CBMF Walk The Line.
