by By Brice Carr | Aug 17, 2009, 9:16 AM

The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) announces the new leadership for the 2009-10 Charter Club Council.

Leading the council will be Susan Vine of Boxborough, MA, as Chair, with Carol Reedy of Roanoke, VA, and Bridget McNeese of Houston, TX, as Vice Co-Chairs. To date, Council membership remains unchanged. Council representatives listed by region may be found on the Charter Club section of the ASHA website at www.asha.net/ASHA-Charter-Clubs. In addition, ASHA is pleased to present the Charter Club Council Cabinet, which will advise and assist the leadership as needed.

Cabinet members include Anne Byers of Medford, OR; Doug Norton of Covington, GA; and Shelagh Roell of Brookfield, WI, and Barbara Molland of Petaluma, CA. Charter Club Council meetings via teleconference are being planned for the months of September, November, January and April, and the formal meeting will be held in February during ASHA’s Annual Convention.

ASHA’s worldwide network of more than 50 Charter Clubs enriches the Saddlebred experience for its members. Charter Clubs promote Saddlebreds at the local level and help newcomers to learn more about the breed. The national Charter Club Council is comprised of regional representatives who advise the ASHA Board of Directors on local and regional issues.
