Officials at the World's Championship Horse Show (WCHS) conducted at the 105th Kentucky State Fair in Louisville, KY, beginning this Sunday evening, August 23, continuing through the following Saturday evening, August 29, have confirmed that exhibitor check-in should be more convenient and quicker than ever before.

According to Horse Show Manager Scarlett Mattson, for all American Saddlebreds entered, registrations and ownership, as well as American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) memberships have been confirmed electronically by the show staff in advance, working with the American Saddlebred Registry. This will eliminate the need for members, professionals, and agents to produce copies of registration papers and ASHA membership cards when checking in.

The only exception may be for recently expired memberships, or in a few other cases, Mattson said. "If the membership was shown to expire during June or July, of course that member will have to verify that their membership has been renewed and is in good standing for August. In addition, if the show staff was unable to confirm United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) membership, or for the American Road Horse and Pony Association (ARHPA), or American Hackney Horse Society (AHHS), we will have to check those cards to be sure they're valid. But other than those types of situations, the office process should be smoother than ever before, and we're very appreciative of the exhibitors, horsemen, and the Registry for assisting us. We're looking forward to a great show."

All events are held at the Kentucky State Fair and Exposition Center in Freedom Hall. The Opening Night performance Sunday begins at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, and includes the Registry's in-hand Futurity classes, as well as the Kentucky County Fair championships in several sections.
