Arenus-sponsored rider Kassandra Barteau of Maple Park, IL, and her horse GP Raymeister have topped the United States rankings for the FEI World Cup® Dressage Final for Young Riders. As a result, both have been invited to compete in Frankfurt, Germany, for the FEI World Cup Dressage Final for Young Riders, December 17-20, 2009.

Barteau and her horse earned the sole United States Young Rider slot for the FEI competition in Frankfurt by averaging 73.375% in their two best test rides in the FEI Young Rider Freestyle Tests held during the 2009 qualifier.

Barteau and GP Raymeister have been training and competing together since 2007. The 10-year-old Holsteiner breeding stallion is sired by Rantares and out of Thoroughbred mare, Miss Nickel Annie. GP Raymeister is owned by Ginna Frantz of the Grand Prix Equestrian Training Center in Maple Park, IL.

Barteau’s resume boasts multiple wins and championships at every dressage level. At the age of 21, Barteau holds more wins than any other young rider in U.S. dressage history. Her accomplishments include claiming three consecutive United States Equestrian Federation, National Young Rider Championships and winning a Gold medal at the 2009 North American Junior Young Rider Championships in Lexington, KY. She also is a United States Dressage Federation Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist.

Barteau’s most recent accomplishments include riding GP Raymeister to the 2009 FEI Prix St. Georges Horse of the Year title and the 2009 Championship’s in the FEI Young Rider Team Test and the Open Stallion Under Saddle Class at Devon.

Barteau trains with her parents, Kim and Yvonne Barteau, KYB Dressage, Maple Park, IL, and Cathy Morelli of Wellington, FL.
“I’m very excited about the Arenus partnership and having GP Reymeister, multiple-time USDF Horse of the Year, and GP Delano, USDF Third Level Open Horse of the Year, on Steadfast® Equine and Assure® Guard health and nutritional supplements to support keeping them sound, healthy and happy in training and competition,” noted Barteau. “It takes a long time to get USDF competition horses trained through the levels.
